Weekly Message.

Saturday – Main Club – Winter Sweep (Week 19 Winter League) (Y)

Sunday –  Main Club – March Sunday Medal (Y)

All competitions except Club monthly medals (which is storkeplay) are Stableford until next season. When you play in the medal Saturday and Sunday,  your score will be calculated into a stableford for the winter league, so make sure you carry on and finish the round, if you pick up at a hole and are in the winter league.

All remaining comps and sweeps will be off the yellow markers.

Mats are still on.

Entry Sheets for the MacGilchrist Open Saturday 13th June and Seniors Open Tuesday 16th June, will be available from the 1st March. Get your name in early to avoid disappointment. All entry money will be retained by the club. This will enable a decent prize fund. Lets make these days great. Visitors must be paid for at time of booking.

The Ayrshire Seniors team match dates are up, please tick off those you are available for, if your name is not on the list then let me know and we can add it in, You must be over 55 to play.

Greens

Please watch your footing on the course, especially any Astro-turf paths, they are very slippery, with all this rain & frost.

There is still work being done on the greens, this is to help in the approach to the start of the season.

Please use the sand in the boxes if you create a divot on the tee, all the tees have been repositioned to allow for growth and repair on the main tees.

Remember Mats now throughout the course! Do not practice without a mat from the fairways, this will not be tolerated.

Please keep your trolleys well away from the greens and please repair pitch marks and rake bunkers as best you can,

Bar and Kitchen

You will be please to know that Joan is returning to work on Monday 2nd March, so normal conditions will be resumed in the Kitchen. Thank you for putting up with the reduced standards over the last 2 months. But thankyou for your continued support.

We have 6 functions coming up and 4 Golf outings, in the season we need more.

We will continue to advertise.

General.

The shop has been emptied and will now be re established under Ardeer Golf Course. Once established I’m sure opening times will be forthcoming.

So from now on Self starts, I will endeavour to be up and around most competition mornings to help in anyway I can.

The club from behind the bar will continue to sell sweets and various articles of a golfing nature, especially Tees, balls and Ardeer Printed items including Ball markers and pitch mark repairers and the like.

There are 2nd hand balls for sale at present in the bar £5 for 12, see me if you ae looking for a specific make of ball, hopefully we can help.

PAYMENT of FEES 2026/27.

Can 5 day members please ignore their invoice, they are wrong I will correct during the week when I can clear the fault in the system. Apologies for this mistake. It was me and I cannot deny it. You will be contacted soonest with a new invoice.

Do not panic it is actually less. Again apologies.

You should all have received your Ardeer Golf Club Invoices, and we would greatly appreciate your continued support in paying this as soon as possible please.

Once I receive information on Course payments and how it is to be done, I will let you know..

We need your support more than ever. Please support the club!

Would like to see all members join the club, the playing of golf and payment for such is totally up to the individual. We think there is adequate choice for all. This is the advert we will be putting out.

Golf at Ardeer.

There have been fundamental changes at Ardeer Golf Club. In such that the fee structure has evolved to tempt all sections of the golfing community.

With our established Community Amateur Sports Club mantel, the prices are listed below.

Full Ordinary £700 (Club £200) (Course £500).

Senior (+65) £560  (Club £200) (Course  £360).

Youth (18-30) £460 (Club £100) (Course £360)

5 Day (Monday to Friday) £460 (Club £100) (Course £360)

Emergency services (Monday to Friday) (Serving Police, Fire, & Ambulance including Armed Services £460 (Club £100) (Course £360).

Junior (!2-18) Club membership. (Please contact club for details). £50.

As you can see you have the options of Ardeer Course membership and a member of Ardeer Golf club, or both.

Joining the Club gives you the following:

1. Priority Tee times Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday morning. (0600-1200)
2. Full monitoring and record keeping of Handicap, within Scottish Golf. (You will need this to enter any other Golf club’s Open competitions).
3. Your SGL & AGA fees will be paid.
4. Locker and Caddie shed included.
5. Play in all Club Competitions, medals, 65 Club and Merchants. (3/week during the season) a full calendar of competitive golf.
6. The chance to play in the AGA team events representing Ardeer Golf Club, Seniors, Scratch and Handicap league teams.
7. Join the senior’s section on the Monday.
8. Full use of all facilities, changing room, Bar & Kitchen and games room.
1. 20% discount at the bar, club membership card.
10. Reduced prices for simulator.
11. Free Hall hires for functions

We would appreciate if you would inform us of your overall decision on how you will develop your membership of Club and Course, any questions please ask and we will help all we can, but please be aware the cost of a round of golf for the season coming is still under review, and has not yet been decided. This will be greatly affected by the way the course and club membership figures develop.

Please bare this in mind when making your decision.
